TEACHERS OF ARMENIAN for English and Russian-speaking students
DURATION: Long-term with flexible schedule LOCATION: Distant (the incumbent will work from home) JOB DESCRIPTION: “Learn Armenian Online” is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced teacher of Armenian language for conducting online classes, who is ready to work in a quickly developing project. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare interesting and high-quality Armenian lessons based on the literature provided by the employer and add your own ideas/developments;
Conduct online classes with English-speaking (or Russian-speaking) students all over the world who wish to learn Armenian;
Work closely with the project staff to improve the study plans, introduce innovative ideas and methods, contribute to the constant development of the project;
Be prepared to adjust your teaching strategy to people with different needs, abilities, initial level of knowledge and schedule;
Be prepared to introduce media (audio, video, podcast etc.) and other innovative features into your lessons to make them more interesting and interactive.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Highly dynamic and flexible personality; excellent people skills and facility in working with different kinds of people; ability to learn quickly;
Experience in teaching Armenian to English-speaking (or Russian-speaking) students
Knowledge of multimedia tools, open source technology, excellent computer literacy;
Knowledge of social media networking sites;
Perfect knowledge of Armenian and English (or Armenian and Russian)
Good knowledge of Armenian history is a plus;
Excellent communication skills;
Relevant university education in the sphere of Linguistics is a must;
The equipment and tools the incumbent will need to successfully conduct online lessons
A well-functioning PC or a laptop with installed Skype
a high quality camera and a headset
fast Internet connection to be able to conduct stable Skype sessions without interruption and voice/video irregularities
